Here, musical and dramatic contests of the Pythian Games were held, honoring Apollo not only as an oracle but also as the god of music and poetry.
Walking up to the theatre takes some effort, but the reward is standing in a place where ancient crowds once gathered, with the temple below and the mountains all around. For me it’s one of the most atmospheric spots in Delphi – part history, part landscape, and completely unique"
