Its ancient frescoes, unique architecture, and affordable entry are frequently highlighted. Some note the lack of photography inside, but the charming courtyard with turtles adds a delightful touch. Reddit

"Here is not very famous church in Kalambaka. But if you stay in Kalambaka, it is worth to visit. You can reach here by walk from Kalambaka(you can come here after having early dinner). You can enjoy old icons and frescos on the wall without disturbing of crowd. Inside of the monasteries are very similar(we visited 5 monasteries inside). But in the famous monasteries, it is hard to see icons in long time as there are many tourist and time. So visit here and enjoy it! Entrance fee is just 2 euro!"
