You can swim there for a short duration of time - the water temperature is very cold, maybe around 7-15degrees depending on the period of the year. :)

"The gorge is dramatic in scale, but honestly it looks more dry and desert-like than lush—think sagebrush and rocky terrain, not the green oasis you might imagine. The water is piped in, which kind of ruins the whole “natural wonder” vibe (as you cross over the large pipes down by the water as well as see them further up the canyon drive). The pipes def ruin the picturesque setting.
It can also get pretty busy, and depending on the route, there are tons of stairs. On the plus side, there’s a big car park and several entry points. You can also hike up to an old church that looks abandoned but adds a bit of character. Overall… cool views, but not as wild or untouched as it seems in the photos."
