"Very smart, but really a hotel experience. The beach is reached by boat from the town harbour. It's managed by the Four Seasons hotel. So it's very clean, well run and expensive. All facilities are there and the taverna on the beach offers good lunches at a high price."

"This beach you need sandles or you will hurt yourself and your feet walking on the pebble beach at the beach the sunbeds start from €10 euro per person we got dinner from a beautiful restaurant as well in town we tried a bit of everything there a good day trip from Athens with The hellinic seaway ferry"

"Ohh Hydra.. One of those island fairly accessible in Europe. One of those plays that stays with you and wish to go back soon. No cars, only working mules; used to transport your luggage if you need it, they move all goods in the island. Even if you wanted you couldn't bring a car. The island has only mule roads. Nice night life to if you wish. Leonard Cohen's House is there. Funny thing, I was looking for his house, as it's just a normal house, so I asked to an old man resting on a bench if he knew which one. He replied saying, "ohh yes just give me another minute and I'll take you there as I spent long times there playing guitar with him". This out of the blu. Anyway, just couple of hrs from Piraeus in Athens. Worth a visit most def. I'm a sailor and seen many beautiful places, and Hydra is special"
