"Awesome castle given over to time. Extremely overgrown when we went, but worth bashing through the weeds. If you’re lucky, a big friendly dog will appear from nowhere and guide you up and down the pathway. Also, park lower down at the church."

"EPIC! Totally worth the very confusing trailhead/parking situation. The trail starts right next to a house at the top of the driveway… completely worth it. These fully walkable ruins are my favorite part of the trip"
Emma O’Neil
"Don't be fooled by the comments below that this place is hard to reach. There is a very easy existing trail of just 2 minutes up the hill towards the castle. Just follow the direction of the last sign with Zarnata Castle, 50 metres until the gate of the house. Just on the right of the gate you see the path going up.
Very worth it, nice ruins, and if you walk around on the outside you will discover more, like the outer walls, or the ancient chapel which is semi underground."
