"Chintamani Kar Bird Sanctuary or CKBS, as we dearly call it, is a place very very close to my heart. Most of my macro photography, ar birding is from this place. Once I used to visit here 2-3 days a week. I visited CKBS yesterday after almost 3years. I had mixed reaction. The maintenance was poor inside, the trails ar almost engulfed by forest patch, and made it inaccessible. However on the other hand, I felt somewhat relaxed that there is no artificial human activity, or so called beautification is happening here. Mother nature is getting some time to heal herself. I am sure after the rainy season, CKBS will be back to its original previous form."
