What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Tungareshwar for its stunning monsoon beauty, lush greenery, and cascading waterfalls, making it a perfect natural escape. The Tungareshwar Mahadev Temple adds a spiritual dimension, though it can get extremely crowded during peak seasons like Shravan, leading to long queues and a less serene experience.
"Went during rainy season, that too in the month of shrawan, it's was bit hard because of the crowd, muddy because of the rain and also I didn't actually made it to lord Shiva's temple. Just saw it from above and return as I said crowd was crazy. Everyone was rushing and going mad over huge line for darshan. I don't know if this happens every year but in 2025 it happened, also lost my purse, dang. What worst could happen more. But okay, chai was perfect in the monsoon. No charges while entering. So safe guys if you wanna go in monsoon also go early if you are willing to take darshan of lord shiv. Bless you all. Happy shrawan ✨"

"Tungareshwar Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the biodiversity rich natural beauty with many semi deciduous and evergreen forests with many birds, reptiles, amphibians sighting. Also it is a devotional place. Tungareshwar is the place of Lord shiva. It has a scenic waterfall also.
I went in early monsoon thus there was less water in the river. Also there is a trek of nearly 7 km from the temple to top of Tungareshwar. You can sight many amphibians, reptiles and birds here."
