What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the stunning volcanic views and the therapeutic, mineral-rich hot spring waters, making it a perfect post-hike relaxation spot. However, some find the facilities could use better maintenance and organization, with flies being a recurring nuisance. Communication with some staff can also be a challenge.
"The hot springs at Mount Batur had a great first impression. The pools were nice, the water was beautiful, and the view was amazing.
That said, once you pay for your ticket it feels a bit like a maze. There aren’t many signs, and it’s confusing to find your way around. The biggest downside for me was the number of flies, which made it hard to relax. The ladies’ shower room was also in poor condition. It wasn’t very clean, and the towels were kept outside, which was inconvenient.
Some of the staff were friendly and helpful, but others struggled with communication and even gave the wrong directions when I asked about finding another pool.
Overall, it’s a beautiful spot with a lot of potential, but the facilities and organization need improvement."

"Batur Natural Hot Springs offers a beautiful setting with stunning views over the lake and mountains 🌋💦 – the perfect spot to relax after a Mount Batur hike. The pools are warm and soothing, and the surrounding nature is just breathtaking 🌿✨. That said, the facilities could use a bit more care and maintenance 🛠, as some areas feel slightly worn. Still, a lovely experience overall and worth visiting for the scenery alone 🙌🌊."

"Like stepping into a hot bath - mmm - different pools some with fountains, the views are amazing of the caldera. The water is clear, we were there on a quietish day (probably due to the weather on the day).
There are shallower pools and slides for kids (& adults). They also provide you with a fresh towel (which smelt laundered) and you get a locker all in the cost. I would recommend wearing flip flops in the showers.
Nice enough and good if you are in the area, but it was a heck of a drive along some sketchy Bali roads ."
