"This boat on the roof of a house saved a number of tsunami survivors. The lady who was there told us of how the boat saved her life. Her house was also wiped out. The boat was in a jetty out at sea but somehow came and rested on the roof of this house which belongs to a director of an oil company. The owner also survived but stayed in Medan. The boat served as a reminder of the disaster that befell 21 yrs ago. There's a remembrance wall of the names of the people who died during tsunami 2004 in Aceh."
