What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Lurgybrack Open Farm is a highly recommended family destination, praised for its excellent value and the sheer amount of fun it offers. Visitors consistently highlight the extensive indoor play areas, animal encounters, and unique rides as major draws. While some adults find the indoor play areas a bit chilly, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with children often reluctant to leave.
"We arrived here as first timers on a drizzly day that disimproved. We had brought rain jackets and layers but ended up borrowing two umbrellas to walk the open farm. What I loved about here is that there are plenty of play areas, slides and bouncy castles, in covered areas/sheds so that even on a wet day the children can tire themselves out and have lots of fun whilst remaining dry. I felt it was worth the €42 for a family of 2 adults and 2 children when we spent 3.5 hours here: 3 hours in the indoor play areas and about half an hour around the farm. Impressed with the facilities here: well thought out and lovely touches eg the toy tractors and tractor course. Kids (both aged 6 and under) reported they had a great day. We bought two coffees in the cafe at €4 each. The only thing is both adults in the party felt cold sitting and waiting in the indoor play areas for the kids to have their fill of fun: tip: wrap up well as the kids don't want to leave when you get them here."

"Fun place! Plenty to keep the kids entertained for a couple of hours. Especially if the weather is good. €25 for family of 4 isn't a bad price at all and there isn't pressure to spend/buy more when you're in. The coffee shop looks basic enough but clean. Didn't try any food but the tea is nice! Would recommend!"

"First time visiting and it definitely won't be our last!! Great price for the activities available. Brilliant fun and enjoyable for the whole family. Very impressive. My son loved it. Didn't want to leave. He loved seeing and feeding all the animals, the indoor soft play area, the outdoor play area, the sand pit, the water slide and the wee train ride. And not forgetting the nature adventure we took as we walked around the farm and through the woods by the riverside."
