"A beautiful 14km loop hike starting from the village of Clonbur through meadows surrounded by low stone walls.
The ground is somewhat damp on the descent, so wear suitable footwear.
The trail is poorly marked, or unmarked; we followed the Strava user route to guide us.
We recommend starting the loop from the west face of the mountain.
The view of the lakes is magnificent."

"The walk is beautiful, but you really have to be aware that some of it is quite difficult, especially the descent, and that for a quarter of the way (the plateau and then the descent), nothing is marked, so you really have to keep a map in front of you.
We also did it in windy weather with occasional rain, so the conditions weren't ideal.
Note that it's very wet and slushy everywhere, so make sure you wear waterproof shoes and clothing!
Once back on the trail, everything is spotless.
The views remain superb."
