What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the unique charm of Casina Vanvitelliana, particularly its picturesque lakeside location and the iconic wooden bridge. The temporary Lego exhibitions are a major draw, offering a fun and creative experience for all ages. While some note that the villa's interior might not be as grand as expected, its overall atmosphere and scenic beauty are highly praised.
"The Casina Vanvitelliana is a very unique type of facility, built by architect Carlo Vanvitelli for Spanish king Ferdinando IV di Borbone on a little tiny island cast upon the Fusaro Lake in the Bacoli municipality. The structure was a place used by the king to relax after hunting, and host for private parties the nobles of his time. The Casina underwent major renovation late nineties/early 2000 which restored the light blue color of the original building. It gets even more fascinating to visit at Christmas time, when the outside it's decorated with beautiful Christmas lights, as the borbonic wood across the lake. If u r in the Naples/Pozzuoli area, definitely worth visiting. One raccomendation is going during the week rather than weekends, and getting there before the sun sets, only time when it's still possible finding a parking spot in the large parking area by the lake."

"Beautiful lake, with a cooling green park next to it with lots of trees. We didn't go into the art gallery. Free car park."
