I’m booked to stay in Spello first week of February? I’m wondering how much will be open? We have a car and which towns should we visit nearby that will be more lively?
Any advice appreciated

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find the Museo Civico di Bevagna Palazzo Lepri to be a well-structured museum covering archaeology, art, and local history, though some felt it had fewer Roman artifacts than expected and noted issues with internal temperature. Access can be challenging due to reliance on guided tours and specific schedules, leading to frustration for some.
"We thought this would have more Roman artifacts than it did based on the website. The woman selling tickets was perfectly pleasant, but this museum had little to offer for the price of the ticket. Plus it was super hot inside—we could barely look around the top two floors because there was no air conditioning. Unimpressive exhibit in a sweltering building."

"This three-story civic museum in the center of Bevagna is truly fascinating.
The floors divide the museum into sections: paintings, archaeology, and tradition.
It costs €7, but you can also visit the civic museums in other nearby towns."

"I would have given ZERO stars if it were possible.
I called the pro loco on the morning of July 7, 2025, to make sure and not run the risk of walking 1 1/2 uselessly.
Entrance for the museum/theater/port route of 45 minutes without reservation from 10 to 13 and from 15 to 18.
It turns out in the end that it is at the discretion of those who manage, I find it closed and after complaining first to the pro loco and then on the phone to the museum I discover that the route consists of about 1.30 and that I would not have been able to visit anything given the time close to closing.
I believe that a visitor inclined to see the beauties of Umbria is discouraged to the detriment of those who carry out a praiseworthy promotion. Signs and information to be rejected, people with little empathy and unfriendly. Never again in Bevagna!"
