"Staff was super friendly. If you're not a big fan of history, the views will pay out for the ticket. It's breathtaking! There's a big binoculars at the top of the castle, we didn't know how to use it as there were no instructions for it.
There's a long walk up the stair from Taormina center, I don't recommend it during hot weather or of you're not fit enough.
We also wanted to take the bus but after a 40 min wait it never arrived so we went down some stairs straight to Taormina center. It's hard on the knees, lots of stairs."

"The church and the castle are both beautiful. The walk up is difficult but if you’re generally fit you’ll find it fine.
There is a lovely restaurant up there but a bit pricey and a small cafe where you can sit and enjoy the view.
You can walk down from the castle right into Taormina centre by some long stairs which are well maintained."
