"One of our favorite vistas in Sicily. Beautiful way to see the coastline, and cool to read about the history of the fort. Flowers of all kinds and interesting sites all the way up and down. Some reviews are mentioning a fee...not sure how, who or where they were charged. Site is free."

"At the top of the village are the ruins of a castle.
From the castle ruins you get a perfect and beautiful view all the way to Mount Etna and to the coast. Great panorama.
You can get a bus from Taormina to the pretty village of Castelmola, but you will have to walk up the steps to get to the castle. There's an elevator but it didn't look to be working.
The village is full of bars, shops and restaurants.
