"Forte San Felice is a historic fortress located at the entrance of the lagoon in Chioggia. Originally built in 1385 by the Republic of Venice, it was later expanded in the 16th century into its current star-shaped structure to protect the city and its harbor.
Unfortunately, the fort is currently not open to the public as it is still part of a military zone. According to an information board on site, there are efforts to make it accessible in the future, but this might still take some time.
Nevertheless, the area around the fort, especially on the seaside, is a fantastic spot to enjoy the sunset with beautiful views over the sea."

"It can be a good idea to see the sunset in a clear warm day. You can catch fish if you like, or just chat with fisherman. Otherwise it’s a good walking path between the sea and lagoon. Pay attention the stone road is in rise and fall situation. The fortress is under the control of military so it cannot always be possible to visit."
