What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the beautiful, uncrowded beach with clear waters, calling it one of the best in Lazio. The historical ruins of Torre di Paola offer a unique atmosphere and great views, though interior access is limited. Some mention biting flies and weekend parking challenges, but overall, the natural beauty and tranquility are highly praised.
"It’s ok, I had a nice picnic here. On weekends many cars line the road as they park so the hikers can get to the trail head. The torre looks like it may be getting some renovations- and there is a derelict building in front of it; there is a restaurant across the street. If you get there early in the morning you can watch people do spearfishing and that was cool. And you might see some strikingly interesting birds because this location is near the bird reserve. Bring binoculars."

"It's a private property and you can't go inside. Only option is climbing from outside up the walls. Beautiful beach and Pier."

"We wound up here on a spur-of-the-moment side trip once we rented our car. It was just what I needed. A beautiful place to clamber around for a little while, taking in the wonderful scenery and watching the surfers. I had hoped to be able to walk up to the castle but the gates were locked. Climbing on the rocks around the outside wall was fun anyway. The only thing not pleasant about our visit was the biting flies but I put up with them for the chance to explore a little."
