"It goes unnoticed, next to the more showy Chocolate Museum, but it's worth a visit if you're in Modica to discover some of the local history, from ancient times to the 20th century. The ladies who work there are incredibly kind; they even helped us with recommendations for other places to visit in the city and how to get around. The archaeological exhibit is remarkable, as is the well-crafted video. Listening to Salvatore Quasimodo's poetry performance was also moving. It's definitely worth exploring."

"Small museum located in the Palace of Culture.
It exhibits archaeological finds that tell the history of the area, from prehistory to the Middle Ages.
Among the most important pieces is a bronze statuette called Heracles of Cafeo.
The museum also houses ancient books, weapons, letters from famous literary figures, paintings and various works of art.
It was born thanks to Franco Libero Belgiorno, a passionate local scholar.
A great experience, very affordable price."
