"The ruins of the Basilica are a nice thing to see but this is far from being a must. You will find some information at the entrance but that’s it. The visit will not take you longer than 10 minutes.

"1400 steps up, 92 floors elevation. Took 50 minutes from marina, stopping for pictures. It’s a solid climb. Please take a small donation for the beautiful lady at the ruins who caretakes it. She offered a lemon Lolly and opened the bathrooms when I arrived because I’d climbed up from the marina. Views from up there are spectacular and the ruins are well worth the climb. Highly recommend it."
