"When I first came to Japan, I was so lonely and exhausted that I thought I'd go anywhere...and that's where I ended up. It's super long and has a beautiful view. I wonder why it's so amazing and never became more famous...
It might be in my top 3 favorite places while living in Toyota!

Oh, and by the way...
I once walked along the Asakawa River chatting with my ex-girlfriend until 2:30 in the morning, and we caught a glimpse of a wild boar's silhouette. I don't know if it was really a boar, but be careful!"

"At this time of year, the rape blossoms are in full bloom and are a sight to behold."

"Mount Fuji is clearly visible from Hirayama Bridge and Ichiban Bridge. The area where the river joins the Tama River is the hometown of the famous Shinsengumi leader, Hijikata Toshizo.

In the past, the river used to flood frequently due to typhoons and other natural disasters, but flood control work has progressed considerably, and now the river is calm and clear, with almost no overflows. Apparently, wild birds like kingfishers also live here, but unfortunately, I haven't seen one.

PS: Wild boars have been spotted this winter, and as of April, they have yet to be captured. I believe the first sighting was near Hachioji City Hall, but they've gradually moved south through Ishikawa and Owada, and are now apparently around Nishihirayama. Flood control work is currently underway in that area, so I hope nothing happens...

PS: I went to Fureai Bridge for the first time in a year to file my tax return. Until last year, the ground was soft and bumpy like an old athletics track, and I thought it would be uncomfortable to walk on and difficult to ride a bicycle on, but now it's nicely paved, the hard concrete feels good, and it seems like the road has widened somehow. From the bench in the middle, you can get a clear view of Mt. Fuji (^^)"
