What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Washigatake Ski Area is praised for its excellent terrain park and beginner-friendly slopes, making it a versatile destination. Visitors appreciate the convenient lift systems and the beautiful summit views. However, some have noted the potential for icy patches on slopes and the absence of moguls on certain days.
"10th feb, 2025
first visit, it was almost good. but i couldn't come across any moguls (humps ) slpoe today. ithink it was soon after a super heavy snow for a week. pressed slopes and unpressed slopes were both good. but i was a bit disappointed at no appearance of moguls.
many snowboarders were having fun in a big aerial slope. i tried a small ski jumping there.
anyway, i had a good time skiing there today.
i strongly recommend studdless tires for all visitors, but they sweep snow in the morning on beyond the toll gate. so Plz be careful of driving between it and Takasu exit of expressway."

"The scenery is great at the top and the lift systems were very convenient. The package for the lift, onsen, and meal is a fair deal. I really enjoyed having different levels to enjoy with all of my friends. Everything was well labeled and the location is easy for traveling. They have two restaurants building, I recommend the ramen shops. My friends really enjoyed the crepes as well. There were some super icy spots that weren’t very safe."

"It’s a pretty decent ski area for beginners with ample food and parking facilities.
But it’s not as great as the ski resorts in Hakuba or Hokkaido.
The facilities for visitors can be improved."
