What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors appreciate Kobotoke Sekisho for its beautiful plum blossoms in early spring and its historical significance as an ancient checkpoint. The site is well-maintained and easily accessible by bus, making it a pleasant stop for a short visit. However, some note that beyond the blossoms and historical markers, there isn't much else to see, and facilities are limited.
"It’s so good seeing a bunch of beautiful plum trees are in bloom."

"If you head west from the Nishiasakawa intersection on the Koshu Kaido for about 600m along the old Koshu Kaido, you will come to a checkpoint on the north side that was located on the border between Musashi and Sagami. It was abolished in 1869 and has been turned into a small park with a monument and an explanatory plaque as a historical site.
Also right in front of you is the Komakino bus stop for the Kobotoke-bound bus that leaves from the north exit of Takao Station."
清水俊一
"The only things that remain from that time are the stone monument of Xiaobutsukan site and the stone with the inscription ``Tegata Stone'' on it, but if you read the explanation board, you can see that it was an important place at the time. It is surrounded by a carefully constructed fence, and you can feel that it is well cared for. It is located in front of Komagino bus stop."
