"Charmy historical site. The story of the bronze statues is really interesting"

MaT JP

"Beautiful Statue by artist Unkei."

Carl Zhang

"Now that the craze for the historical drama "The 13 Lords of the Kamakura" has passed, I decided to visit the temple in peace.
Due to the damage caused by war (the fall of the Kamakura Shogunate and Hideyoshi's Siege of Odawara), the building no longer contains anything from its original form, but the collection still contains many treasures.
Above all, there are five National Treasure Buddhist statues made by Unkei.
While there are many works that are said to be by Unkei, these five are one of the few that have been confirmed as "by Unkei."
Each statue is impressive and well worth seeing.
It's a shame that photography is not allowed, but it's well worth seeing."
