Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Wakka Wild Flower Garden, particularly praising the affordable and well-maintained bike rentals as the best way to explore the beautiful, car-free natural landscape. Many highlight the joy of cycling, picnicking, and spotting wildlife, calling it a highlight of their Hokkaido trip. Some note that wildflower blooms vary by season, and while the path is a straight out-and-back route, the overall experience is highly recommended.
"In good weather, this is a fantastic spot to do some cycling (or walking). The rental of the bikes (which are really well maintained!) is very affordable and distance wise, I find that cycling is a better way to experience the area, although it's a single straight road out and back."

"Yes, yes, and yes!! If I could give more than 5, I would. Yes - go. Yes - hire a bicycle (electric and tandems are also available), and yes - take a bento and have a picnic at the end. What a brilliant place. It's wonderful riding through this glorious natural environment with no cars. There was hardly anyone around when we went on a warm, sunny day in very early October. The people at the centre were so helpful and lovely too. It was an absolute joy and one of the highlights of our month travelling in Hokkaido. It is obviously weather dependent, but it would be impressive in many seasons."

"Wild flowers along the cycling path. The flowers are not yet in full bloom in mid June."
