Reviews Summary
Niseko Konbu Onsen Tsuruga Besso Moku no Sho is praised for its tranquil atmosphere, exceptional private onsen experiences, and attentive service, making it a highly recommended luxury ryokan. While the dining can be a highlight for some, others found the food quality inconsistent. Minor wear and tear in some areas are noted but generally do not detract from the overall peaceful and rejuvenating stay.
"It has been several months since my stay at Moku no sho. As I stay in another resort at a different country, I greatly miss my experience here and feel compelled to write a review as a thank you to the staff.
It’s very calming atmosphere. And it’s peaceful. Guests are respectful of each other and so the noise level is not an issue. The private bath onsen in our rooms was such a treat, especially when it’s winter and you could see the magnificent snow scenery. While there was some hard water stains in the shower and the sink, I didn’t mind it considering this is an onsen-focused hotel. It is somewhat to be expected.
I also experienced the facial and it was the best I’ve ever had. Truly, no exaggeration here. No machines, just pure skill. I forgot her name but I also appreciated that there was no selling of products. I’m grateful that I did not have to go through a sales pitch and just thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing facial treatment.
When I come back to Hokkaido for a ski trip again, I’ll try to visit and rest here again."

"We had a day spa and dinner experience there and we didn’t stay in the room. The onsen and lounge are excellent. Dinner was delicious with summer ingredients. Look forward to staying there on our next visit to the area"

"The place was ok. The room was good. Service depending on who was attending you.
But in our opinion the worst part was the quality of the food. Very very poor in general, overal the first night. We asked for an extra 8.800 increase in price for a PREMIUM menu, and we got things like grilled salmon as main dish, which was also served the following day during breakfast. The second night the food was better, they served boliled hairy crab after complaining, but the sashimi got poor level pieces. Instead of offerinf sea urchin, ikura, king crab, or any exclusive fish, the served vinagered macherel or trout. We have been traveling for one month in differents ryokans and in our opinion this one had the worst food from all. The chef had no soul in it’s dishes.
Also, We paid for late checkout 10k yen, but we were asked to go down and pay one hour before.
