"This place is lovely! Tucked up in the mountains. We were brought here by my friend’s family and we were welcomed warmly. It’s a workshop where they teach you how to make kokeshi dolls. They will give you a step by step guide as well as tips. They also have an English guide. The owner also came and gave some tips on painting the dolls and invited us to his workshop where he carved some tops. Over all a great experience. A great place to make souvenirs. Places like these keep the tradition alive."

"Lovely place to paint my own kokeshi but very quiet. No craftsmen demo as listed but it was very quiet so that's probably why. Good kokeshi shop too."
