What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Mount Daibosatsu is celebrated for its breathtaking ascent views, including Mount Fuji, and the chance to see wild deer. However, the summit itself is often described as underwhelming with limited views, and the hike can be more challenging than anticipated for some. The long travel time from Tokyo is also a consideration for day-trippers.
"Climbed on 27-April, the weather was comfortable but not much clear view. Peak is surrounded by trees, so no views.
One of Japan's 100 famous mountains, a hike trail for beginners but travel time is around 8hr round trip from Yokohama , so 4 for hike and 3 worth of journey."

"Best day-trip hiking spot from Tokyo."

"Went last weekend. It was my first hike and it wasn’t as easy as everybody is saying. Probably if you’re a seasoned hiker, you’ll find it easy. The view to the top was great, at the top itself there’s nothing. There were lots of rocks that could help, but some were too big so it was challenging. At the top there were fallen trees, it could serve as your seat for lunch. It was so cold though, and my friend tried cooking cup noodles but the noodles got cold so it was hard for him to eat. 😅 Amazing hike!"
