Reviews Summary

Visitors find Kamejima Promenade to be a revitalized and bustling shopping arcade, offering a wide variety of shops, restaurants, and art exhibits. Its length provides ample opportunity for exploration, though some note that certain ends are more residential. While generally a positive experience, awareness of local traffic like bikes and cars is advised.

"Been to this shotengai area many times across the years and I’m glad on my recent visit it’s much revived due to increased tourism.

Many more shops are open and bustling. There’s certain end closer to the Takamatsu station of the apparently longest shopping street in Japan that is more happening than the tail ends which are more residential.

It’s just nice to walk along the shopping street, check out some stores, many restaurants with long lines, bakeries, clothing shops, accessories even art exhibits they have there.
Wide open spaces that’s enough to walk about comfortably.
Just beware there could be cars and many bikes as well as this street services local residents, so if you have kids don’t let them runabout too freely."
