The Tottori Sand Dunes were more impressive than I expected🐪They are especially unique as they stretch along the coastline. 鳥取砂丘は予想以上に壮大でした👀 海岸線沿いにあるのが特徴的です。 🗺️ Kyoko's Map of Japan: If you are interested in the map of all the locations I have visited, check the links in my bio. #tottori #japantravel #insta_tottori #鳥取砂丘 #鳥取旅行 #mavic3pro #ドローン撮影

what Taylor Swift really meant when she sang that song 👀 Located in the least populated prefecture, the Tottori Sand Dunes are Japan’s largest sand dunes. Camel and horse rides can be enjoyed there. But if you’re lucky enough, you can catch it covered in pristine white snow during the coldest months. ❄️ 📍Tottori Sand Dunes 📸: @ag.lr.88

Reviews Summary

The camel rides and the adjacent Sand Museum are popular highlights. However, be prepared for strong winds and sand getting into everything, making comfortable footwear and water essential. "This was my first time treading through a sand dune and IT WAS THE BEST TIME OF MY LIFE! On terms of parking, the price is reasonable and there are a lot of spaces. For the sand dune itself, although it was really windy (As the sand dune was facing the Sea of Japan), the view was very mesmerizing! However, my shoes and socks were covered in sand. So, I recommend you wear sandals / slippers to any kind of sand dunes! Therefore, you’ll have more fun! I highly recommend to go here if you ever have the chance to go to Tottori!"

The sand dunes is huge and you need to reserve lots of energy to walk both ways to the beach.

You can take lots of pictures with the spectacular views…. A place with unique experience in Japan.
