Visitors praise Mount Kannabe for its stunning natural beauty, particularly the sunrise views and unique volcanic landscapes. The accessibility for a relatively short hike and the educational aspects of its geology are also highly appreciated. "We used Kannabe Kogen Campsite. The next morning, I walked along the promenade towards the top of the mountain. Spectacular views from the top of the mountain. On the way back, we slowly descended the slope and headed straight to the campsite."

"This plateau is covered in sparkling Japanese pampas grass during the off-season for winter sports. People of all ages can enjoy walking, picnics, or even the ski lifts, which are still open. You can easily see the remains of the only remaining crater in Kinki, which will also help children deepen their science knowledge. You can also pick apples nearby. The apples are very sweet, and the orchardists are kind and friendly. We recommend Kannabetei 5 for apple picking. Parking is available."

"I climbed the mountain at the end of summer. It takes about 1.5 hours round trip from the roadside station at the foot of the mountain, including a walk around the crater. If you want to hike and walk around with plenty of time, it's best to plan for at least 2 hours. I visited the mountain because I wanted to explore the volcanic terrain, so I was quite excited. Mt. Kannabe is a volcanic terrain called a scoria cone, which was formed when magma neared the ground and decompressed, causing an explosive explosion, and the scoria, a sparse volcanic rock, was erupted and deposited, forming a cone-shaped mountain. It was an eruption when Paleolithic people were around, so geologically it is quite recent. The crater, which has a beautiful mortar-shaped mortar, and the horseshoe-shaped terrain on the east side, where the highly fluid basaltic magma flowed all the way to the Maruyama River, are both examples. I think it is first-class in the Kansai region, where volcanic terrain is rare, although it may be okay in Kyushu or the foot of Mt. Fuji. I hope that topography and geology enthusiasts will enjoy it along with the Kannabe lava flow valley along the Inaba River."
