"For 2400 Yen you get a beginning Japanese tea ceremony. The tourist Center where you get the tickets are very unfriendly even if you gonna try to speak Japanese. It is not the usually way of customer service.
The ceremony was in a big room for 7 people. We were sitting on a bench and had a explanation about the different kind of preparation for the ceremony. I had the feeling everything goes very fast. The time for that was very short and the explanation of the deep meaning of making tea very low.
I would recommend to go to another tea ceremony if you wanna learn more about a tea ceremony and the culture of Japan. In my point of view you cannot get that here in Taihon."

"10 out of 10 experience.
Remember to be respectful, and say the cue words when they give you your sweets and tea. 🍵
This tea house gives you the full experience and proper mannerisms of how people should behave and what we should say. A ticket per person is 1000 yen, and we get a free matcha tea, and a traditional Japanese sweet.
🚨remember to take a picture after the tea ceremony. And read the instructions carefully. Have fun!!"

"The tea ceremony was 1000 yen per person, we got our last minute tickets at the visitors centre around 1350 for a 1400 start. They will take you over from the visitors centre. They give you a sheet with your responses, you'll take off your shoes outside and step inside, we were very sweaty as it was 33 degrees Celsius but they said it was okay, another patron was wearing sandals so they gave her a pair of socks to wear. The lady who hosted us was lovely and spoke to us in english. We were given a redbean desert, to make our mouth sweet, it was shaped like a hydrangea. We were unable to take photos until the ceremony was over, it was a very nice experience, she made one person's matcha in front of us and the rest were done in another room and brought in.
It was very much a case of watch or you'll miss it!"
