Hanamiyama Park 🌸🌸🌸in Fukushima City. The word Hanamiyama means the mountain to view flowers. The owner of the land is engaged in foriculture. Decades ago, the second generation of the family was asked by neighbors to let them appreciate flowers. Then he and his family put the name as a park, opened their land to the public for free! 😃💓 Photos taken on April 5, 2025. #hanamiya #fukushima #福島 #花...

Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about Hanamiyama Park's stunning floral displays, especially during cherry blossom season, calling it a 'riot of color' and a 'breathtaking sight.' The well-maintained paths and rewarding city views from the summit are frequently praised. However, the park can become extremely crowded during peak times, leading to a 'madness' of organized chaos, and some visitors noted maintenance issues or poorly marked trails off the main routes.

"Date of enjoyment: 12/4/25
Came here on a weekend and it was madness, but organised chaos. We can’t park in the usual car parks, we had to go to another carpark ( free of charge) which is well directed and signed, then pay for a ticket 500 yen and catch a bus to visit hanamiyama park from the car park which is a short 10min bus ride. Do come early and once you arrive at the park, the walk towards all the plantations is stunning and it’s all maintained by locals. There were heaps of varieties of Sakura and they were in full bloom, truly a stunning sight and hayfever at its max.
We decided to walk the longest trek which took roughly 60mins and rewarded with the view at the mountain top of Fukushima city. The walk back down the hill was also pleasant and there was a matsuri food stalls at the end of it all, you can spend about 2-3 hours at this venue which is great value for a 500yen ticket."

Jay Cao

"We visited on a rainy day but the rain cleared and we got to see all the wonderful blossoms (16th April). We did the 60 minute walking loop, there is a 30 and a 45 minute loop too. I enjoyed the 60 minute loop as you get a beautiful view from the top of the hill. As it was a rainy day it was not busy, but I can imagine it gets very busy."

Lily Gill

"Nice park. Free entry. Was under maintenance during my visit. The coloured tracks are easy to follow, but if you head off towards the "observatory" you'll likely not see much else. I walked for a couple of hours following poorly marked signed which lead nowhere in particular.
Nice and peaceful, but with a lot of tree cover blocking most of the views."
