What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Pantai Chendor is praised as a serene and well-maintained beach, particularly ideal for camping with its clean facilities and added security from nightly patrols. While some find the water less suitable for swimming due to its muddy appearance, its natural beauty, casuarina trees, and the unique opportunity to witness sea turtle releases make it a memorable destination.
"A well-maintained public beach that’s great for both tent and car camping. While there’s no official camp owner, the on-site staff regularly clean the beach and maintain the public toilets (with a small fee), which are very clean and even have plug points available for use. The toilet and bath will be lock at night so campers needs to talk to onsite staff before evening to get a set of keys
As with any beach camp, expect some bugs and sand flies, and be mindful of the tides. One big plus is the nighttime police patrols, which added a sense of safety to our stay.
For a peaceful and well-kept beach camping experience, Pantai Chendor is definitely worth considering!"

"This beach was quiet on a weekday but if you do plan to play the sand and seawater, it might be a lil dirty to do so. It’s muddy and black, I’d recommend to head to Pantai Penunjuk in Kijal instead!"
