"Welcome - greeted very cheerfully by all the GO (gentle officers). Every family has a dedicated GO to explain the dos and donโts, activities available, etc.
Reach before 3pm (check-in time) and allowed to have late lunch (complimentary) at 2.30pm at the restaurant.
Check-out (from the room) is at 11am but we can stay around and use their facilities/ activities and have lunch till 3pm.
All staff were friendly - say hello and good morning more than 20 times a day.
No data connection but WiFi really strong there so all good.
Rooms are clean and still well-maintained although itโs alresdy โoldโ.
Kids enjoyed very much - kids club and teens clubs have dedicated GO to bring them for all sorts of activities around the club (eg. sailing, kayaking, pool activities, rock climbing, trapeze, shows). The GO is very good at keeping them entertained.
Kids refused to leave on the last day.
Free flow beer and wine and drinks at the restaurant and bar.
Food all day long till late night supper.
Wide spread of food from jap/ Korean/ Malay/ Indian cuisines and ice-cream, cakes, fruits, etc.

"Our recent stay at Club Med Cherating was unfortunately one of the most disappointing travel experiences weโve had, and the resort is in serious need of improvement.
First, the resort must consider installing EV chargers on their premises. Guests travel long hours to get to this remote location, and being forced to hunt for a charger elsewhere is extremely inconvenient. We arrived at 8 PM after a long drive, hungry and exhausted, yet the staff showed little concern or empathy toward our situation.
Customer service was consistently lacking. The reception staff were unfriendly, and the GO (Gloria) assigned to us didnโt even accompany us to our room. Considering how far the rooms are from the main lobby, we ended up dragging ourselves around the large resort trying to locate it on our own. For a brand that prides itself on hospitality, this was disappointing.
Another downside is that there is only one restaurant operating, serving buffet meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner every single day. With no alternative dining options, the lack of variety becomes quite noticeable during the stay.
Since we arrived late on the first day and barely had time to enjoy the facilities, we considered extending our stay. However, we were quoted a higher price at the counter compared to the rate shown on their own website when we checked later in our room. This felt like a complete rip-off โ instead of offering a reasonable rate or at least matching the online price, they quoted us even higher despite us losing out on a full day of activities. This was extremely disappointing and unprofessional.
We had also gone there to celebrate my husbandโs birthday, but no cake was provided. When I asked, I was told it had to be arranged in advance. This was surprising because on a previous trip to JB, the hotel prepared a birthday cake and decorations without us needing to inform them. Their service standards are far superior compared to Club Med.
The facilities at Club Med Cherating also feel dated and in need of refurbishment. The one positive highlight was the archery activity โ my daughter loved it, and the staff there were friendly, helpful, and truly professional. Thumbs up to them.
Overall, I would not recommend Club Med Cherating. The service, facilities, pricing practices, and overall experience simply do not justify the hassle, long journey, or cost. It was far below expectations."

Our university recently brought a large group (2 buses) to Club Med Cherating, and the experience was truly exceptional. The entire staff, including the CDV, G.M. and all the G.O.s, were incredibly professional, friendly, and efficient in handling our group.
They masterfully blend fun activities with a highly organized environment. Special thanks to the team who made our trip unforgettable: Zoey, Grayson, JJ, Serena, and Shu Kee. Their energy and hospitality are world-class.
This is the perfect spot for educational groups looking for seamless service and a dynamic atmosphere. Highly, highly recommended!"
