Hello, I'm a foreign student living in KL and this would be my first birthday away from family. So to make it a bit special, I just want to wear a pretty dress and take some nice photos in a flower garden (which preferably has sunlight but if not, that's fine too) but it has to…

Why is the Perdana Botanical Garden deserted on a Saturday afternoon?

Reviews Summary

The diverse collection of flowers is a major draw, offering stunning visual appeal. However, some find the gardens can get quite hot during midday, and facilities might be limited.
"Very nice area to walk in. Lots of beautiful flowers and trees along the paths. Good area for a laid back outing."
Jonas Schubert Erlandsson
"Visited again after a few years. It was closed for upgrading works post COVID. It's no longer bedecked with orchid plants and flowers. Before there were orchid plants and flowers everywhere, now there are so few... Perhaps the Garden should be given to the people who specialise in orchids (orchidists) to get it back to its prime. A far cry from before... But it's free entrance."
Caroline Tan
"Not a huge exhibit and only a fair number of species in bloom on display. Water features and landscaping are interesting. Quite the large park and much to see. 4.5 stars, a great destination for orchid fans and those into gardens."
