What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Bukit Merah Laketown Resort offers a blend of family-friendly fun with its waterpark and zoo, alongside serene lakeside activities like fishing and unique water chalet accommodations. While some guests note the resort's age and mixed food quality, many appreciate the spacious rooms, friendly staff, and the overall value for a relaxing getaway. The animal feeding and water sports are consistently highlighted as enjoyable experiences.
"Visited Bukit Merah Laketown Zoo with my family and had a great time. The place is clean and spacious with a nice variety of animals—deer, monkeys, reptiles, plenty of birds—and you can even feed some of them, which the kids loved.
The walking paths are easy and there are shaded spots to rest. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the ticket price felt reasonable. A few enclosures could use some touch-ups, and it does get hot midday, so mornings are best.
Overall, a fun and memorable outing for families, especially with the animal-feeding experience."

"This is old resort, but it is clean. The room is big can fit 3 single bed plus have extra space. All their manpower are Malaysians, that is respect! At day we can do some activity, but not at night all is closed. So night we sleep early. Haha."
Norsuhada Mansor
"A fairly old resort. Still not renovated. The area is quite quiet. Far from the busy city atmosphere. The deposit required is RM 50.00. Still using the old way, which is using a key to enter the room. Got a spacious room. There is a bathtub. Strong water. However, the air conditioner does not feel cold. Only the wind. Had to sleep in the heat. Ordered food in the resort but was quite disappointed because the fried rice was bland. Thinking many times about coming back."
