Reviews Summary

Visitors praise the challenging yet rewarding journey to Faro Cabo Corrientes, highlighting the stunning coastal views and secluded beaches. While the lighthouse itself may have limited access, the adventure of getting there and the natural beauty of the surroundings are consistently lauded. Some note the need for preparation due to the remote location and off-road conditions.

"If we think about journey as such, I would give 5 star rating because it takes effort to get there and it's beautiful all the way.

So, you leave your car in a bay. If you stand in front of the water, the trail starts on your left where the hill is. The trail starts with steep going uphill. The first are small stairs then path goes through someone's yard.

We used all trails app but it is wrong when you have got on the hill. There is a hotel built on the trail. It seemed that hotel is almost ready but not yet operating. So, you have to go around because there is a fence.

The rest of trail is ok, just path without challenges.
We got wifi working 2-3 times along the way. The first spot was most spectacle view to the bay. There are wild agaves. If you follow all trails app, it takes 55 minutes walk. We also saw several wales.

But the most disappointing - LIGHTHOUSE is CLOSED. You can not get it. Also the path to the beach down is not very clean, so we did not go.

And tip. On the way to the fisherman's village, approx. 5km before look for entrance to the beach. It is so wide and surrealistic."

"The road to the lighthouse is challenging, but if you love adventure, I highly recommend it.

From Puerto Vallarta, it takes about 2.5 to 3 hours, with part of the journey on dusty off-road trails. Then comes a climb up the mountain with stops for photos and taking in the views. It took us about 2.5 hours, but finding the trail entrance is tricky, and cell service disappears as soon as you leave the highway.

On the way back, we cooled off in the refreshing ocean near a village.

It was absolutely worth it!"

"It’s just a 4 km hike to reach this lighthouse, with an easy, well-maintained trail. The lighthouse is nice, but the nearby beach is even better! No tickets are required to visit, and I didn’t met a single person during my hike."
