"Awesome trip on the boat, it’s a great experience and tour guides so knowledgeable and great to be on the water and see the harbour, such a great 1.30 mins to spend learning our local history and culture"

"A friend and I took the Tio Ohiwa cruise on 2 January 2025. We found the two-and-a-half-hour cruise, including a visit to the oyster processing facilities and an excellent lunch of very fresh kai moana (seafood), to be very high qualiity. That the cruise was organised on the basis of tikanga Maori added an important dimension to the experience. We learned a lot of the local and natural history and about the aspirations of the iwi (tribes) for the guardianship of this special place and the empowerment of their young people. Highly recommended for both local people and visitors. Well done, the Tio Ohiwa whanau!"

"We had such an amazing time! Our tour guide was super knowledgeable and really engaging, making the experience even more enjoyable. The skipper was fantastic too – he kept us on track and gave us plenty of time to check out the oyster structures and gave us extra information. Overall, it was a brilliant experience with top-notch customer service. I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone – 100%!"
