It's good to see you, Dugong! We were so excited! Well, it's been so long since the last sighting in March 2018. Last year, in October 2024, while doing the seagrass survey, TIC team spotted Dugong's feeding trail and feces in the same area at Pulau Tengah. We have discussed and presented our data to Dr. Jillian Ooi from University Malaya, and it's confirmed that the Dugong trail in our landscape ...

Reviews Summary

Pamilacan Island is praised for its stunning natural beauty, abundant marine life, and serene atmosphere, offering a less crowded alternative to other Bohol destinations. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about the transparency and cost of environmental fees.

"Insane the prices they charge! And no transparency around it. They charge the tourists P300 environmental fee for each spot. P300 for the coralgarden, P300 for the turtle spot and P300 for the fish sanctuary. That's P900 of environmental fee. Filipinos get charged the same. How would a family even afford this? Its ridicolous. Nowhere in the Philippines you can step foot anymore without being charged. I wish everyone involved in this corruption will get what they deserve. If they would at least use the money and clean up the trash, but no, instead litter everywhere😡"

Kai Schönberger

"More than 16 kilometers southeast of Panglao Island, Pamilacan Island is worth the wet trip for dolphin- and whaleshark-watching activities as well as snorkeling and diving sites.

Today, more than 2,000 locals live here, savoring the serenity brought by their unornamented isle life. They look unbothered by the chaotic lifestyle from miles away.

It’s best to visit when the waves are not crazy, so you can enjoy snorkeling and diving more."

Eizen Barleta

"I would describe it as a little paradise! Amazing corals! marine life is abundant. The beach is lovely and not crowded with tourists. Perfect spot for diving!"
