It's highlighted as a surprisingly clean and enriching experience, especially for families, offering a unique glimpse into Negros Island's endemic wildlife right in the city center.
"The place is well maintained. Surprisingly, it doesn’t stink. Enclosures depict the natural environment. We were graciously toured around the park. Met four out of the “Big Five” animals of the Negros Island. Due to the ASF virus, the warty pigs are not available for public viewing. All in all, a great experience to see the endemic species of Negros at the center of the city."

"A small zoo, but I was very impressed! It was nice to read that it was involved in release efforts with endangered species - which always makes me feel better about visiting a zoo. Price was extremely reasonable for a student, and the small assortment of souvenirs were very charming. The enclosures looked roughly appropriate - not huge, but nothing that seemed worryingly small or bare. I would visit again!"

"There were many animals that I had never seen in Japan, and it was very fascinating! When we visited, there were many student staff members who provided detailed explanations about the animals to our group. Although it was a small zoo, we had a very enriching experience. Since we were students, the entrance fee was only 50 pesos per person."
