What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Inambakan Falls as a hidden gem with stunning, clear turquoise waters and a serene, less crowded atmosphere compared to other Cebu waterfalls. The natural beauty, opportunities for swimming and cliff jumping, and the adventurous journey to get there are frequently highlighted as major positives. Some mention the slippery trails and the need for water shoes as minor considerations.
"Inambakan Falls is one of those hidden gems that truly feels like nature’s reward. Located not far from some of Cebu’s other famous waterfalls, it’s definitely worth adding to your itinerary. The water is a stunning turquoise blue—crystal clear, cool, and incredibly refreshing on a hot day. It’s perfect for swimming and, surprisingly, never felt crowded on either of my visits. In fact, the second time we had the whole place to ourselves!
There’s a small cave right beneath the falls, and if you’re not the strongest swimmer, don’t worry—a rope has been set up to help you safely reach and enjoy it. The entry to the water is mostly smooth, but there are a few rocks scattered around, so wearing rubber water shoes is a good idea for comfort and safety.
For the more adventurous, there’s a spot for cliff jumping—great for thrill-seekers, though I personally gave it a pass. Watching some of the local teens leap in was entertaining enough!
The natural beauty surrounding the falls is lush and calming, and the whole area is well maintained. If you’re looking for a peaceful and scenic waterfall experience away from the big tourist crowds, this is the spot."

"Fresh from lunch at Mr. Yummy, our habal-habal driver brought us deep into Ginatilan’s interior roads to reach Inambakan Falls. The ride itself is already part of the adventure—expect a mini roller-coaster journey through winding mountain roads aboard those iconic long, provincial motorbikes built to carry up to five people. Sounds exaggerated, but in the south… it’s real!
What instantly struck me is how raw and unfiltered Inambakan feels. No flashy add-ons, no curated picnic spots—just nature as it is. The trek to the falls is manageable but slippery in parts, so go slow and wear proper footwear.
The main falls is a scenic treat. It’s like a twin-cascade curtain with two streams dropping side by side, and if you explore a little further around the bend, you’ll find a smaller third cascade tucked behind lush greenery. The entire scene is framed by shrubs, vines, and mossy rock—nature doing its own landscaping. It’s tall enough to impress, roughly around 35–40 meters, a bit shorter than Mantayupan Falls, but taller than the first level of Kawasan. The basin below glows in that surreal “sports-drink blue” that Cebu waterfalls are famous for.
What I love most is how untouched it feels. Unlike Kawasan which is now more developed, or Mantayupan which has clear designated tourist spaces, Inambakan lets you experience the falls in its raw, serene state—no chairs, no vendors, no distractions. Just the sound of water and nature.
We paid ₱400 round-trip for two for the habal-habal, including Kuya waiting for us. I’m not entirely sure if that’s the standard rate or a tourist rate—but the experience made up for it.
If you’re exploring Southwest Cebu, don’t skip this one. It’s a refreshing immersion into nature—simple, quiet, and soul-cleansing."
