What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Mag-Aso Falls is praised for its stunning natural beauty, particularly the main waterfall and refreshing blue waters, offering an epic escape. Visitors enjoy the adventure of reaching the falls, the natural water slide, and the affordable amenities like cottages and entry fees. However, some find the facilities, especially washrooms, to be basic, and the journey can be physically demanding due to numerous stairs and potentially challenging road conditions.
"Absolutely epic place to be. The road to get here is now paved but it gets dicey as it's steep and one area was damaged due to flooding and the road was caved. Hopefully, by the time you go,the road would be fixed.
The resort itself is pretty good. If you're up for adventures and lots of stairs and climbing, this is the place for you. They have villas you can rent of overnight and lots of gazebos for day use. Im happy to see that the focus is on the falls and the nature surrounding it. The main area where the pool is, is nice enough.
Going down to the falls, that's an adventure and if you have bad knees, take your time. Some parts of the stairs are quite big steps, so it takes effort. The falls itself, the main one that is accessible is stunning. Now it depends when you come here because when we did, it was raining the night before and during our visit. So it was a lot of water and it was awesome.
The upper side is much more chill and there is a natural slide that gets fun but be very careful because the current is so strong that it does push you down. Better have someone watching out and help pull you up because it is hard to stand once you've slid down. But it is fun. The trek going up is okay but be careful as there are parts with no railings whatsoever.
The facilities, the washrooms are okay. I think they were renovating a few.
Anyway, it really is a fun place and you can even bring your meats or fish to grill. You do have to bring your own charcoal. But what a fun place to hang out for the day. I say get there early because the parking is at a premium as well."

"I recently visited one of the best waterfalls I've ever seen, tucked away in the heart of Kabankalan City. The moment I arrived, I was blown away by the beauty surrounding me. The water was so refreshing, perfect for a hot day! However, I do have to mention that the rocks around the waterfall can be really slippery, so it’s best to watch your step. Overall, it’s just a great spot to connect with nature and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. If you’re looking for a lovely place to unwind, this waterfall is definitely worth a visit!"

"Nice place to unwind with the family, but you have to do everything on your own. Piso wifi is available but too far from the cottages. But it's a nice place if you want to get away from the city for a day."
