What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the unforgettable experience of snorkeling with the massive sardine run at Napaling Reef, praising the vibrant coral and diverse fish life. While some mention multiple fees and the mandatory guide requirement, most agree the underwater spectacle is well worth it, especially when booked through reputable tour operators.
"We really enjoyed our snorkelling here, it was clean and had steps to access the water easily.
There was a good variety of different fish and coral along the coast and sardines are very close to the steps where you enter.
It’s busier near the steps but early morning was fine and plenty of space. It gets quieter the further along you go.
We visited through a tour company called Panglao Freedive academy so didn’t have any extra fees as everything was sorted for us.
Would highly recommend using them as we felt safe and they had good English. They also gave us a full hour of snorkelling and transfers were on time."

"It's 200 pesos entrance fee now!!!
Great place for snorkeling, free diving and scuba diving.
My wife and I fall in love with this place instantly!
The greatest thing is fish variety and the shelf about 20 meters away from shore going so deep that you cant see the bottom."

"Decent reef to dive on. Did my free diving qualification here and a good spot due to sudden drop by the reef.
If you are just coming to visit and snorkel here there are a lot of hidden fees. But none of which were extortionate or unreasonable. 100 entrance, 100 environmental, 150 for fins, 150 for life jacket, 150 for mask and 100 for guide"
