What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors are pleasantly surprised by the vastness and quality of the Kiermusy Manor Antiques Fair, finding it much more than a typical flea market. The variety of antiques, local produce, and crafts, combined with the nearby historical charm of Tykocin, makes for a highly recommended day trip. While the fair itself is a highlight, the surrounding historical context elevates the experience.
"My brother brought me there and I didn't have too high expectations. BOY... was I mistaken! It is quite a large place (among fields and woods of Podlasie Voivodeship, Białystok County, right outside of TYKOCIN (Yiddish Tiktin), with its century old history (11th century) , "ancient" synagogue, castle (rebuild) and many other interesting points of interest. The flee market itself was really fantastic, and my brother said it was just the beginning, very first one on a frosty March Sunday. In addition to the typical flee market stuff one can buy local honey, eggs, bread and pastries and items made by local craftsmen as well. Lots of old China, ceramics, mid-century glass, wooden farm utensils and vessels, iron, post-war memorabilia, furniture etc. I loved it! There is a small inn and a restaurant as well. With the brand-new highway it became quite "close" to Warsaw too. Great for a day trip. Highly recommend!"
