What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Salto da Farinha for its stunning beauty and the rewarding hike through lush landscapes. The opportunity to swim in the waterfall's pools is a major draw. However, some note the trail can be challenging and muddy, and the waterfall's flow can be diminished during dry periods. Parking advice is crucial for a better experience.
"Awesome experience and took some amazing photos of the waterfalls. It is quite a long walk and at times very difficult so I recommend doing this with some good shoes. We made the mistake of parking our car at the top, at the view, instead of driving all the way down. The road down was ok but going up after having walked for quite some time was really heavy, so my recommendation is, take your car as far as possible."

"Waterfall is located very nice and it’s possible to get in the water. Unfortunately it was almost dry when we were there. Access is easy and quick if you will use lower parking"

"Nice little waterfal. Trail is pretty slippery. The barbecue site was not very clean and the beach is rather rough with high waves. There are better places to go to the water at the North shore of Sao Miguel."
