"The Convento is a special, beautiful place. We hosted our 60 person wedding here and reserved the space for a 3 day weekend, despite having not visited in person. When we arrived, we were so lucky to find that it was both grand and unpretentious, gorgeous and serene. The space gave us a sense of calm and elegance that lasted through our wedding.
There are so many small areas to gather around the Convento, and we found our friends and family enjoying the various nooks. The ocean view was stunning and we spent a lot of time on the roof looking out over Vila Franca. Many people enjoyed the firepit in the back and the pineapples growing in the greenhouse. The long breakfast tables and generous spread were enjoyed every morning. The rooms were spacious and made it easy to get ready. The kitchen allowed our kosher friends to keep food in storage. It completely exceeded my expectations and I am so grateful to have been able to enjoy the historic Convento.
I also want to recognize Manuela. She went out of her way to care for us, tidy the space, and move around art so we could decorate for the wedding. Her team kept the breakfast area well-stocked, and were so hospitable and kind. We hope to be back again in the future!"
