Reviews Summary

Visitors find the Água de Prata Aqueduct an impressive feat of 16th-century engineering, particularly appreciating the unique sight of houses built directly into its arches within Évora. While some note it's not as grand as Roman aqueducts, its historical significance and the scenic nature trail alongside it are highly praised. It's considered a worthwhile, easily accessible stop that offers a glimpse into the harmonious blend of history and modern life.

"Fine looking aqueduct nothing really special compared to other examples through Europe. More impressive things to see in the town but it is a quick stop right outside the walls and you probably have to drive under it anyway to get to the rest of town. The way houses built into the arches inside the wall is a little cool"

Pratul Maddipudi

"During a quick evening walk, we stopped by the Água de Prata Aqueduct, and it was truly an impressive sight. Unlike many famous aqueducts, this one wasn’t built by the Romans but dates back to medieval times around the 1530’s if I’m not mistaken. It’s a remarkable piece of engineering that still stands proudly, stretching across the landscape with a quiet elegance.

While it doesn’t appear to be lit up at night (which is a bit of a shame), it’s absolutely worth walking past, especially to appreciate its scale and historical significance. Even with just a short visit, it left a strong impression simple, grand, and a wonderful reminder of human ingenuity."

"It was okay. Nice to see it and walk in to main area. See houses and street built in between. Arch gets smarter n smarter as u go up n up"
