"Beautifully secluded beach, off the beaten path... or rather off an unpaved dirt road riddled with gigantic holes and rocks. You won't need a 4x4 to get here, just drive the 5 mph speed limit and pay attention.
The beach itself is stunning, and relatively clean compared to others I've visited in PR. Plenty of shady spots to set up in amongst the forest line."

"We started off going to Playa Azul but it was a tad bit underwhelming after all of the reviews. When we arrived there, we had already been spoiled by crash boat so seeing all of the buildings surrounding the beach tagged with graffiti was a disappointing backdrop to say the least. We decided to pack back up and drive down to Playa San Miguel. This turned out to be the right call because this beach is breathtaking. Now, this isn’t the beach to go to if you’re looking for lots of food trucks, this beach is totally hidden away. We had it to ourselves for several hours before seeing the first person. It has a true tropical island feel. Couldn’t recommend this beach more."
