"If you value your life, do not rely on this cabin
We had booked Cabana Omu in advance and arrived at sunset. Despite our reservation, the cabin was locked, no one was present, and there were no instructions or notes. We had also provided a phone number in case any changes occurred, but no one contacted us, and our attempts to reach someone by phone were unsuccessful.
With no water and strong, cold winds, we had no choice but to descend the mountain. In the dark, dehydrated, and exhausted, this situation quickly became life-threatening. One of us fell and injured their knee, nearly tumbling down the mountainside. After hours of hazardous hiking, we finally found the next water source marked on our map.
The utter negligence and lack of responsibility from the cabin operators is beyond unacceptable – it’s outright dangerous. People’s lives are at stake, and this could have easily ended in tragedy. It is outrageous that such mismanagement is allowed. Frankly, the operators should be held accountable for putting lives at risk. Do not rely on this cabin!"

"My friends and I had reached our destination for the day, the Cabana Omu, and were full of joy at having completed the third of four stages! We arrived at 6 p.m. and wanted to relax in the pre-booked accommodation and above all, refill our water supplies. However, we found ourselves in front of a locked door and with no instructions from the owners! There were people in the building next door, but they didn't want to help us and didn't open the door!!! Thus began the riskiest moment of my life - we had to start our next day's tour because we knew when we would get water again. We literally sprinted this stage to get through the difficult passages before dark. However, it was soon so dark that we all had to use our headlamps. Slopes and secured climbing routes are not much fun in the dark when your body is weak. After a total of 4 hours (11 hours in total) we reached the water source. Everyone was dehydrated and exhausted and there were several moments when we wanted to call the emergency services. Luckily we had tents with us so the horror day could end!
Really consider using Carbana Omu as accommodation!!!"
