What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Obedska Bara for its beautiful, tranquil nature, especially the stunning water lilies and birdlife, making it a great spot for picnics and a peaceful escape. The nearby historic fortress and ethno village add to the appeal. However, some find the walking trails could be better organized and maintained, and facilities within the reserve are minimal.
"Great place for picnics with friends and children...Walking the route isn't much of excitement but doing the whole loop on bike might be great! Bear in mind the path is often narrow and you would need a mountain bike as there isn't a cycling path ..(at least not the first 5km we walked) Nature around is great. There is a boat during the season which is worth buying tickets for (lasts one hour, checks the departure times and buy on time ;)"

"We went to the fortress Kupinik, near Kupinovo. Fortress is ruined, not much has left (you can see in the picture) but it is still very beautiful and peaceful.
There was some Knight Festival nearby so we saw horses and knights, that was pretty cool.
This festival is in the first part of September.
There are paths through the forest, and river Sava is really close.
From New Belgrade we needed 45 min by car to get there.
I really recommend it, even half of one day is totally enough to recharge in this beautiful nature.
There is restaurant near called Šanac to get a coffee or something. We didn't eat there, so no idea about the quality of food there."

"50 km from Belgrade, easily reached by car or bicycle, there lies a true oasis of nature! Great place for a picnic with your family. There's no store or a bar inside the reserve itself, so be sure to bring enough snacks/liquids, especially if you're travelling with your kids. You can go on a boat tour, or rent a boat and paddle with swans through mesmerizing see of water lilies. Close to the reserve, there's an ethno village Kupinovo where you can grab a bite."
